Hayley Prangle
Care Supervisor
My name is Hayley, I have 25 years’ experience in care, and it all started in 2000. I had just completed my advanced GNVQ in health and social care, I wanted to give something back to the care industry, so I decided to go to UWE Bristol and start a degree in Mental Health Nursing.
I worked with many people in all care settings and I loved it. During my degree I also worked at Chippenham Hospital as an HCA. With only 6 months left of my degree I had the lovely news that I was expecting my first baby. At this moment I decided to leave and concentrate on being a Mum. Although I never completed my degree and gaining a qualification, I never decided to leave care. Since this period, I have had two more children and worked in various care settings. These include care homes, domiciliary care, hospital settings and private care. My most memorable and greatest achievement was becoming a residential manager for a 27-bed unit for the elderly in Melksham. I thrived in this position and was always a pleasure residents and staff became family. It came with all sorts of responsibilities, but it made me who I am today. I am now settled in my position as Care supervisor with the Firs Home Care.
I enjoy visiting all service users and tackling issues and problems with the staff and management team, I absolutely love my job, and the Firs feels like home already.

Millie Stuart
Care Supervisor
My name is Millie.
I have always had a passion for caring for others, which was shaped from being a young carer to my brother who had a genetic condition affecting his physical appearance and abilities. I went to college after finishing school and completed my Level 3 extended diploma in health and social care, and I started my career in the care industry in 2017 at the firs care home. I left to start studying paediatric nursing; however, I decided I wanted to branch out and learn other areas of the care industry.
I have worked on multiple wards in hospitals, including working on the Covid wards at the height of the pandemic. I have worked with and supported individuals with mental health disorders, children with special educational needs, the elderly and others.
Within my time developing my knowledge and skills within the care industry I have completed lots of training throughout and keep up to date with mandatory training.
I started working at The Firs Home Care in October 2024 as a senior home care assistant and was promoted to Care Supervisor in February 2025. Within my role, I ensure that all service users have up to date care plans, and that they are receiving the correct care. I provide support to my colleagues, ensuring that they feel well supported in their own roles. I take pride in my work as care supervisor and enjoy being part of the team at The Firs Home Care.
